Fairlie Pier - Scottish West Coast

Fairlie Pier isn’t going to blow your mind with dramatic drop-offs, but it’s a solid spot for a chilled-out dive, especially if you’re newer to cold water or shaking off the rust. We’ve found the max depth of 11m makes it ideal for longer bottom times and really focusing on the macro. Poke around the pier’s legs and the scattered debris, and you’ll often spot crabs, blennies, and those surprisingly colourful anemones that pepper the Scottish coast. Visibility can vary, but on a good day, it’s a calm, easy entry, and a pleasant potter for anyone looking to just get wet and observe the smaller stuff without any fuss.
