FV Geneveive - Scottish West Coast

The FV Geneveive, a fishing trawler that met its end off the Scottish West Coast, sits upright and remarkably intact at 14 metres. We love an accessible wreck, and this one delivers. It’s perfect for divers newer to wreck diving, offering plenty to poke around without any serious penetration. You can easily swim through the wheelhouse and explore the holds, where the light filtering through creates these eerie, beautiful shafts. We’ve often found conger eels lurking in the deeper recesses, and the deck is a playground for blennies and small crabs. The metalwork is a canvas for colourful anemones and dead man's fingers, a real explosion of orange and white against the dark steel. It’s a great second dive of the day, or just a really solid, no-fuss wreck dive. The visibility can vary, but even on an average day, the sheer density of the wreck gives it real presence.
