ROTCHE - Scottish West Coast

The Rotche, a fishing vessel sunk in 1977, lies at 50 metres, a poignant reminder of a late-night collision near Mallaig. Despite the depth, it’s a reasonably intact wreck, offering a solid penetration dive for those with the right training. We’ve found the stern section often holds the most interest, with king scallops tucked into crevices and wolf fish peering from the shadows. Given the depth and exposure to currents, this is one for experienced cold-water wreck divers, best tackled on slack water.
