SAN MIGUEL - Scottish West Coast

The San Miguel, a fishing vessel that went down off the Point of Sleat in '83, sits upright in about 31 metres. It’s not a huge wreck, just 17.7 metres long, but she’s relatively intact. We’ve found her bows make a great starting point for a circuit, often covered in dense plumose anemones, especially in autumn. You can usually poke your head into the wheelhouse and find crabs tucked away in crevices, a good spot for a bit of macro photography. It’s a solid dive for those who appreciate Scottish wrecks, especially when the visibility is on your side.
