Sard - Scottish West Coast

The Sard, a steel vessel that went down back in 1906, sits comfortably at just 5 metres, making it an ideal wreck for a relaxed dive. You’ll find the remains pretty broken up, but its machinery is still discernible, providing plenty of nooks for small crabs and blennies to hide. We've often spotted inquisitive wrasse weaving through the scattered plates. It's a forgiving site, perfect for newer wreck divers or anyone looking for a shallow, easy exploration with a bit of history attached. Visibility can be a typical Scottish affair, but when it clears, the light filtering down onto the wreck is quite something.
