SENIORITY - Scottish West Coast

The Seniority, a steamship that ran aground on Barra Island in 1950, rests at a very accessible 19 metres. At 96 metres long, she’s a proper wreck dive, sprawling across the seabed. You'll find plenty of her structure still intact, providing nooks and crannies for conger eels and squat lobsters. It’s a great site for divers who appreciate exploring a larger wreck without the demands of deep diving, offering a tangible piece of history now colonised by the local marine life. We'd suggest checking the local tide tables, as currents can pick up around Barra.
