SPARK - Scottish West Coast

The Spark, a sailing vessel that met its end in 2004 after a fire, sits upright at 52 metres. It’s not a huge wreck, just over nine metres long, but it’s a neat little dive if you're comfortable with the depth and the often cooler Scottish waters. You'll find the hull largely intact, and in the years since she went down, plenty of plumose anemones and dead man’s fingers have claimed the structure as home. It’s a quiet wreck, not overly dived, which makes for a peaceful exploration among the kelp and the resident wrasse. We like it for a relaxed technical dive, a chance to really appreciate the slow colonisation of a relatively new wreck.
