SPES BONA - Scottish West Coast

The Spes Bona, an old fishing vessel, ran aground and was abandoned back in '81. It’s a shallow dive, just two metres max, making it ideal for a relaxed snorkel or an easy photography session, even for newer divers. The wreck itself is only 11.3 metres long, but it's completely colonised by the local fauna. We've seen plenty of wrasse darting in and out of the exposed timbers, and the hull plating provides perfect shelter for gobies and blennies. It’s a nice little glimpse into the area’s fishing history, resting peacefully in the shallows.
