SS Rondo - Scottish West Coast

The SS Rondo, perched precariously on a shelf at the entrance to Lochaline, is a wreck dive with real character. She went down in 1935, and now lies with her bow almost out of the water, descending down a sheer wall to deeper, gloomier sections. It’s a strange feeling, finning past her upright mast near the surface, then dropping down the wall to explore the engine room, which is often full of light if you catch it right. We've seen conger eels poking out from plates and colourful anemones clinging everywhere. The depth means it's best suited for experienced divers comfortable with cold water and some current, but the unique orientation makes it truly memorable.
