STYPIE - Scottish West Coast

Stypie isn't a deep dive, peaking at around ten metres, which makes it a nice relaxed option if you're looking for something less demanding. We found the wreck of this old sailing vessel fairly broken up, but you can still pick out the ribs and some of the hull structure. It's really more of a skeletal outline these days, but that's precisely its charm. The bare timbers have become home to a surprising number of critters, with plenty of crabs scuttling about and a few different nudibranchs clinging to the wood. It’s a good spot for newer wreck divers to get a feel for exploring a scattered site without any strong currents or tricky navigation.
