WARRION - Scottish West Coast

The *Warrion*, a tug sunk in 1941, is a proper Scottish wreck dive, and we rate it highly for its accessibility and character. Dropping down onto the wheelhouse, often with a slight current to keep you honest, you immediately feel the history. The deck guns are still there, overgrown with plumose anemones, their white tentacles waving gently in the flow. We love poking around the engine room, though it’s a tight squeeze in places, and the bow section has some great swim-throughs if you're comfortable with overhead environments. Look out for conger eels peering from the darker recesses and the vibrant nudibranchs that graze on the hydroids covering the hull. It’s a cracker of a dive for anyone who appreciates a well-preserved wreck and doesn’t mind the occasional low visibility that Scottish diving can offer.
