Wreck of Anida - Scottish West Coast

The Wreck of the Anida isn't about tropical colours. It's about atmosphere, history, and that raw, wild beauty unique to Scottish diving. Dropping onto her bow, you’re immediately struck by the sheer scale of the old girl. She sits upright, pretty much intact, a ghost from another era. We love nosing around the superstructure, especially the bridge area, where you can almost picture the crew. Look for the resident conger eels tucked into every dark crevice, thick as your arm, and the vibrant plumose anemones that coat the deeper sections like a furry white blanket. This isn't a dive for the faint of heart or those chasing 30-metre visibility, but for wreck enthusiasts who appreciate a challenging dive and a true sense of exploration, the Anida is an absolute belter. Our tip: go at slack tide, and bring a good torch – it gets dark down there, even on a sunny day.
