Wreck of Baltic - Scottish West Coast

The Baltic is a moody, magnificent beast, a classic Scottish wreck dive that we always look forward to. Drop down and you’re immediately enveloped in the dark, peaty water, the wreck slowly materialising from the gloom. She lies broken, her bow section still impressive, rising from the seabed like a jagged silhouette. We love pushing through the small gaps and swim-throughs, imagining the ship in her glory, then bumping into a grumpy conger eel peering out from a dark corner. Schools of pollack often swirl around the mast, catching the limited light, and you’ll find plenty of squat lobsters tucked away in crevices. This dive is not for the faint of heart or the inexperienced; conditions can be challenging with strong currents and limited visibility, but that's part of its charm. It truly rewards divers who appreciate a wreck with real character and a touch of the wild.
