Wreck of Branch - Scottish West Coast

The **Wreck of Branch** offers a proper journey into history, cold water style. We love how the strong Scottish currents have scoured the seabed around her, keeping the visibility surprisingly decent on a good day. It’s not a site for the faint-hearted or those new to wreck diving, with depths that can challenge even experienced divers, but the rewards are there for the taking. Dropping down, the ship really starts to resolve out of the green gloom – often, we've found it a slow reveal. The hull is still largely intact, a skeletal frame encrusted with anemones and dead man’s fingers, clinging on for dear life. You’ll find schools of saithe darting through the superstructure, and if you take your time, a watchful wolfish might peek out from a darker corner. Our favourite part is exploring the holds, dark and silent, where you can almost feel the presence of its past. Be mindful of currents; timing your slack water dive is key here. It’s a dive for those who appreciate wrecks with a story, and the hardy marine life that calls them home.
