Wreck of Cathcart Park - Scottish West Coast

The *Cathcart Park* is a proper West Coast wreck dive, a big old cargo steamer lying broken but still impressive in the chilly Scottish depths. We love this site because it’s got that classic wreck feel, not just a pile of rubble. You can follow the length of the hull, feeling the surge of the Atlantic around you as you go. The stern is our favourite part, often a bit more intact, offering some nice swim-throughs if you're comfortable with overhead environments. This wreck really comes alive with the local critters. Big conger eels often peek out from behind bent plates, and you’ll spot wrasse darting between the rusty beams. Sometimes, a curious seal will even come to check you out, which always adds a bit of magic. It’s a dive for those who appreciate history and don't mind a bit of a chill; the visibility can be variable, but when it’s good, the structure of the *Cathcart Park* is genuinely evocative.
