Wreck of Christina Dawn - Scottish West Coast

The Christina Dawn wreck is one of our favourites on the Scottish West Coast, a real cracker for divers who appreciate a bit of history with their dive. She's a trawler, sitting upright and largely intact, which always makes for a more evocative experience. You can really get a sense of her working life as you fin past the wheelhouse and down her decks. We love exploring the hold, often finding plump lobsters tucked into corners, and the mast still stands proudly, usually adorned with plumose anemones swaying in the gentle surge. The visibility here can be surprisingly good on a calm day, letting you properly appreciate the scale of her. It’s a dive that suits those with a bit of experience, comfortable with overhead environments if you fancy a peek inside the engine room, and it's a fantastic spot for photographers too, especially when the light filters through the superstructure.
