Wreck of Earl Mulgrave - Scottish West Coast

The Earl Mulgrave, resting quietly in the chill embrace of the Scottish West Coast, is a proper wreck dive, not just a pile of rubble. We love the way she’s largely intact, giving you a real sense of her former life as a trawler. You can still make out the bow, stern, and even the superstructure in parts, making for some fantastic penetration if you're qualified and the conditions are right. We’d suggest a calm day with good visibility, which, let's be honest, is always a bonus in Scotland, because the light filtering through the kelp can be really atmospheric then. Look out for the resident wrasse darting in and out of the plating and the occasional inquisitive conger eel peeking from a dark crevice. This is a dive for those who appreciate history beneath the waves and don’t mind a bit of a chill; it's a wonderfully moody experience.
