Wreck of Emily - Scottish West Coast

The *Emily* isn't one of those wrecks where you're just looking at a few scattered planks. This is a proper, upright cargo vessel, and we love the way she’s sitting so proud on the seabed. She’s encrusted in plumose anemones, creating a soft, colourful blanket over her iron structure. Descending onto her deck, you’ll find squat lobsters tucked into every crevice, and the odd wolf fish peering out from darker corners. We’d suggest exploring her holds first; they’re accessible and provide a real sense of her scale. The stern offers some interesting features too, with her propeller shaft still largely intact. Visibility can be a bit hit or miss in the West Coast, so we always aim for slack water on a rising tide to get the best conditions. It's a dive that rewards careful exploration, perfect for anyone who appreciates a bit of history alongside their marine life.
