Wreck of Faith - Scottish West Coast

The Wreck of Faith isn't about tropical colours; it's about atmosphere and history, a proper Scottish wreck dive. We've always found it a bit eerie, in the best possible way, especially when the light filters down through the kelp. Dropping onto the wreck, you’re greeted by the skeletal remains of the old trawler, completely encrusted with plumose anemones – thick, white carpets that sway with the surge. The wheelhouse is often our first stop, surprisingly intact, where you can still imagine the skipper at the helm. Look for wrasse darting between the metalwork and those curious little nudibranchs, often brighter than anything you’d expect up here. Penetration is possible for experienced divers, but we’d suggest sticking to the exterior and enjoying the way the wreck has become a home for the local critters. It's a dive that rewards slow exploration, perfect for photographers keen on moody, textural shots, or anyone who appreciates a wreck with genuine character rather than just a checklist of species.
