Wreck of Flowerdale - Scottish West Coast

The *Flowerdale* isn't your average lump of rust. We’d describe it as a proper dive, a deep, atmospheric wreck that rewards patience and a good eye for detail. Dropping down, the first thing you notice is the sheer size of the thing, especially when the visibility kicks in. The wreck is largely intact, with a huge propeller standing proud and superstructure you can actually swim around, not just peer at. We often find conger eels lurking in the deeper holds, their heads poking out from shadowed corners, and schools of pollock flitting through the open decks. It’s a dive that genuinely feels like exploring a submerged museum, and we always come away with a sense of connection to its past. Best tackled on a slack tide, otherwise, you'll be fighting the current and missing all the subtle beauty. If you love a wreck that tells a story, rather than just being a pile of debris, this is one to put high on your list.
