Wreck of Friendship - Scottish West Coast

The Wreck of Friendship is a proper treat for wreck enthusiasts, a real standout on the Scottish West Coast. We love how the hull has broken down, creating these fantastic swim-throughs and pockets for exploration, though you’ll want to be comfortable in overhead environments. It’s an atmospheric dive, with the light filtering through the kelp creating an eerie glow on the collapsing deck plates. We usually find inquisitive conger eels peeking out from the darker recesses, and the resident pollack often mill around the deeper sections. For us, it’s best when the sun’s out, pushing those shafts of light down into the green depths, really bringing the scale of the old girl to life. It’s not a dive for beginners, but experienced wreckies will find plenty to keep them occupied here.
