Wreck of Glen Rosa - Scottish West Coast

The Glen Rosa, a cargo steamer that went down in 1915, isn't about tropical colours or balmy water. This is proper, moody Scottish wreck diving, and we love it for exactly that. Dropping onto her bow, often in slightly reduced visibility, feels like a real adventure. You’ll fin over encrusted plating, spotting the ghostly shapes of the hull structure emerging from the gloom. Conger eels are a common sight, peering from crevices, and the wreck is absolutely smothered in plumose anemones, which create this incredible, frilly tapestry over everything. It’s a dive for those who appreciate history, the beauty of cold-water marine life, and the quiet thrill of exploring a genuine time capsule.
