Wreck of Glen Shiel - Scottish West Coast

The Glen Shiel is one of those wrecks that really sticks with you. Dropping onto her bow, the first thing you notice is the way she lists to port, her stern broken and scattered. We love how her holds are still full of old pottery and tiles, a real glimpse into her past, and exploring them feels like stepping back in time. Look closely for the resident conger eels, they’re often tucked into dark crevices, and the sheer number of squat lobsters clinging to every surface is genuinely impressive. This site is definitely for those who appreciate a wreck with a story, offering plenty to explore for a good hour or so. The visibility can be variable, as is typical for these waters, but on a good day, the light filtering down creates an almost ethereal glow around her collapsed mast.
