Wreck of Morag Glen - Scottish West Coast

The Morag Glen isn’t just another bit of rust on the seabed; it's a properly atmospheric dive, and one of our favourite wreck explorations on the Scottish West Coast. Dropping down onto her, you immediately feel the history. The wreck lies broken but still substantial enough for a good poke around, with her prop and rudder still recognisable. We love how the kelp drapes over the metalwork like a shroud, swaying in the surge, and the way the light filters through the green canopy always feels a bit magical. This wreck really shines when you take your time, letting your eyes adjust to the gloomier sections. We’ve found huge conger eels peering out from gaps in the hull plating and lobsters tucked into every available crevice. It’s an ideal site for experienced divers who appreciate character over coral and don't mind a bit of murk – the visibility can be variable, but when it’s good, the detail on the wreck is fantastic. Come prepared for cooler water, of course, but the rewards here are absolutely worth the chill.
