Wreck of Reaper - Scottish West Coast

Diving the *Reaper* is like stepping back into a salty, historical novel. We love that feeling of reaching through the gloom and suddenly a piece of history looms large. It's a wooden fishing trawler, sunk in the early 20th century, and she’s largely intact, which is a real treat for a wreck of this age. You can trace her lines, see the bow rising defiantly, and poke your head into where the wheelhouse would have been. The *Reaper* isn't about big pelagics; it’s about the smaller, intimate details. Look for the nudibranchs decorating the old timbers, the squat lobsters tucked into every crevice, and the vibrant anenomes clinging to the deck structure. We’ve had some cracking dives here when the visibility opens up, maybe 10-12 metres, and the light filters down just so, making the wreck glow. It's a dive that suits divers who appreciate history and macro life, not those chasing speedy encounters. Just remember, this is Scotland; pack a thick drysuit and be ready for a proper adventure.
