Wreck of Regelin - Scottish West Coast

The Regelin is a proper, atmospheric wreck dive, sitting upright and mostly intact on the seabed. We love how the Scottish light filters through the green water, illuminating the bow and stern sections, especially if you catch it on a sunny day. It’s got that classic freighter silhouette, encrusted now with a thick layer of anemones and sponges. Look closely in the hold for conger eels, and you'll often find ling lurking around the deeper parts of the structure. It's a great pick for experienced wreck divers who appreciate the history and the unique challenge of cooler water diving. Exploring the Regelin feels like stepping back in time; the sheer scale of the cargo holds is impressive, and you can still make out deck machinery and sections of the bridge. The wheelhouse is a highlight, often home to inquisitive wrasse. We’d suggest a good dive light to pick out the details, especially inside the holds, where the light dwindles quickly. Watch for stronger currents on a tide change, but in calmer conditions, the visibility can be surprisingly good, letting you appreciate the whole profile of this old girl.
