Wreck of Springbok - Scottish West Coast

The Springbok really is a standout for us on the Scottish West Coast. We love how much of the ship is still there, despite the years. Dropping down, you’ll find yourself finning over a massive cargo hold, often full of schooling pollock, their silver scales catching the limited light. The bow is particularly intact, standing proud on the seabed, and it’s a real thrill to navigate the remaining deck structures. Keep an eye out for the resident conger eels, they’re usually tucked deep into the darker nooks of the engine room. This dive is perfect for experienced wreck enthusiasts who appreciate the history and the challenging, often low-visibility conditions that come with Scottish diving. It’s not a shallow potter, you’ll want to be comfortable with deeper dives and potential current.
