Wreck of Sultan - Scottish West Coast

The Wreck of Sultan isn’t about balmy water or technicolor corals. This is proper temperate diving, a historical time capsule sunk deep in the Scottish West Coast. We love it because it’s so surprisingly intact, a ghostly form emerging from the green gloom. You can fin past the bow, imagining the journey that ended here, and poke around in the holds if you’re comfortable with overhead environments. Our favourite part is watching the light shift through the water, illuminating the resident conger eels and squat lobsters that have claimed the wreck as their own. It’s a dive that rewards slow exploration and a keen eye, perfect for wreck enthusiasts who appreciate history and don't mind a bit of chill. We’d suggest bringing a good torch; the deeper sections of the wreck truly come alive with focused light, revealing details easily missed otherwise. Visibility can be fickle, so pick a calm day if you can.
