Wreck of Unnamed Shipwreck - Canmore 102521 - Scottish West Coast

Alright, let's talk about the Unnamed Shipwreck, Canmore 102521, off the Scottish West Coast. Forget your warm water wrecks, this one’s got proper character. We love how the cold, dark Scottish waters have preserved it, wrapping the iron in thick green and orange anemones. It’s a proper explorer’s dive, with parts of the hull still standing proud, inviting you to peer into the shadows where conger eels lurk. Visibility here can be a bit of a lottery, sometimes a clear 10 metres, sometimes a moody five. But that’s part of the charm, we think – it adds to the mystery. Keep an eye out for the plumose anemones, they grow huge here, waving gently in the surge. Our favourite time to dive it is on a slack tide, gives you more time to really poke around the ribs of the ship, imagining the storms it once faced. This isn't for the faint-hearted or those who crave sunshine, but for divers who appreciate history, atmosphere, and a good old-fashioned proper wreck dive, it’s brilliant.
