Wreck of Unnamed Shipwreck - Canmore 102590 - Scottish West Coast

The Scottish West Coast throws up some fantastic wrecks, and Canmore 102590 is a proper favourite of ours, despite its anonymous tag. Dropping onto this unnamed ship feels like stepping back into a moment frozen in time. The ship lies broken, but not beyond recognition, offering plenty of nooks and crannies to poke your head into. We love finning over the collapsed deck, watching pollack dart in and out of the skeletal ribs, or spotting a shy conger eel peeking from a darkened hold. Visibility can swing wildly here, like most Scottish dives, so pick your day carefully; a slack tide with a rising sun is our preferred window. The sheer age of the wreck means it's heavily encrusted, a tapestry of dead man’s fingers and anemones, which just adds to the atmosphere. This dive is best suited for those who appreciate history and the slow, deliberate exploration of a genuinely old wreck, rather than speed demons chasing pelagics.
