Wreck of Unnamed Shipwreck - Canmore 102686 - Scottish West Coast

The Scottish West Coast is a rough beauty, and some of our favourite dives here are the wrecks that have truly become part of the seabed. This unnamed shipwreck, Canmore 102686, is a prime example. We love how the metal has softened over time, draped in kelp and anemones. You descend into that distinct green-blue Scottish light, and the wreck slowly materialises, often with shoals of small pollack darting through the skeletal remains of the superstructure. It’s a dive for those who appreciate history and the slow reclamation of man-made structures by nature. Look closely in the cracks and crevices; we've seen everything from velvet swimming crabs scuttling about to dogfish tucked away in the more sheltered sections. It's not a deep dive, but the low visibility and potential for current mean it suits divers comfortable with colder water and perhaps a few dives under their belt.
