Wreck of Unnamed Shipwreck - Canmore 103043 - Scottish West Coast

The Unnamed Shipwreck, Canmore 103043, is a proper Scottish west coast wreck. We love it because it’s not some perfectly preserved museum piece, but a genuine challenge and a rewarding exploration. It's a deep dive, often cold, with visibility that can swing from surprisingly good to pea-souper in an hour. What you find down there, though, is something special. The hull plates are mostly gone, leaving skeletal ribs that you can swim through, feeling the push and pull of the tidal current. Dead man's fingers and anemones coat everything, swaying in the gloom. Our favourite part is navigating the engine room, a tight squeeze but often sheltering conger eels curled up in the machinery. It’s a site for experienced wreck divers who appreciate the raw, wild nature of cold-water diving and don't mind a bit of a hunt for their reward. Come prepared for the chill, bring good lights, and remember, this isn’t a gentle drift.
