Wreck of Warlock - Scottish West Coast

Diving the Warlock is a proper adventure, the kind that makes you feel like you’ve earned your post-dive dram. This isn't your average sunny, Caribbean wreck. It’s an evocative, haunting experience in the Scottish West Coast, perfect for divers who appreciate history and a bit of a challenge. The Warlock lies scattered, a jigsaw puzzle of twisted metal and machinery across the seabed, giving you plenty of nooks and crannies to poke around in. We particularly love seeing how the cold, dark water has preserved some of her structure, allowing the marine life to really take hold. You'll spend your dive navigating through various sections, recognising the bow here, a boiler there. We’ve found everything from inquisitive conger eels peeking out of pipes to plump lobsters tucked away in crevices. The visibility can be variable, but when it clears, the sight of light shafts cutting through the gloom onto the wreck is simply magic. It's a site that rewards multiple visits; we always seem to find something new. Dive it on a slack tide for the best experience, and be sure to bring a good torch; the shadows play tricks down there. This is a dive for those with solid buoyancy control and an appreciation for the raw beauty of a shipwreck reclaimed by the sea.
