Old Cow Reef - Nova Scotia

Old Cow Reef, off the coast of Nova Scotia, is a solid cold-water dive. Don't expect tropical colours here, but what you will find is a rugged, characterful reef system, well-suited to divers who appreciate the unique beauty of North Atlantic ecosystems. We've often spotted American lobsters tucked into crevices, alongside sculpin and the occasional lumpsucker clinging to the rocks. Keep an eye out for curious common seals, who sometimes make close passes, especially in the shallower sections. It’s a great spot for an immersive, temperate water experience, particularly if you’re keen on seeing the marine life that thrives in these cooler currents.
