PARNES - Tyre

The Parnes wreck, sitting at a comfortable 10 meters off Tyre, is one of our favorite mellow Red Sea dives. She’s a motor vessel, sunk back in '76, and at 67 meters long, there’s plenty to explore without ever feeling rushed. We love dropping onto the bow, often finding schools of small jacks circling above the foredeck, then making our way back towards the bridge. The mast is still largely intact, reaching towards the surface, and that’s where you’ll usually find the resident lionfish hanging out, fins fanned, seemingly posing for photos. Visibility here can vary, but on a good day, you get that classic Red Sea blue. We’ve found the best conditions are usually in the mornings before any afternoon breeze picks up. Inside the cargo holds, where the light filters down, you’ll spot damselfish darting between the metal ribs. This site is perfect for anyone who enjoys easy wreck diving, offering history and marine life without any strong currents or tricky navigation. It’s a photographer’s delight, especially if you like capturing the interaction of light and structure.
