The Wall - Daymaniyat Islands

The Wall at the Daymaniyat Islands lives up to its name, plunging down into the blue with a dramatic drop that always gets our attention. We love how it feels like a proper deep dive, even if you’re only staying at 20 metres. Keep an eye out for loggerhead turtles cruising along the edge; we’ve seen some absolute giants here, unbothered by divers. What makes this place special is the sheer density of colour on the wall itself. You’ll find patches of Starry petaloid coral next to big, sprawling Pagoda coral formations. It’s a macro dream if you slow down and look closely: Cone Shell Hermit Crabs are usually scuttling around, and we’ve spotted the elusive cloth-of-gold cone snail more than once. The schools of Broomtail wrasse are also a highlight, shimmering as they move together. Dive it in the mid-morning if you can, the light plays beautifully off the coral textures. This site is great for experienced divers who enjoy exploring vertical reef structures and finding the smaller, unique critters.
