Long Beach Reef - Sumatra

Long Beach Reef off Sumatra is one of those sites that quietly delivers. We often find ourselves drifting along, spotting a surprising number of smaller, shyer fish. Keep an eye out for the Bugeye Dottyback peeking from crevices or a shy Blue-ribbon wrasse darting between the staghorn coral. It’s a pretty easy dive, generally calm, making it a great spot for newer divers looking to build confidence or macro enthusiasts wanting to take their time. The Honeycomb Groupers here are particularly photogenic if you approach them slowly.
