Scuba Weh - Sumatra

Scuba Weh itself isn't a single dive site, but rather the name of one of the longer-standing dive operations on Pulau Weh. The sites they visit often feature gentle slopes carpeted in big patches of staghorn coral, home to plenty of smaller reef fish. We've often seen Goldmann's sandgobies darting into their burrows, and blennies like the orange-spotted variety peeking out from rocky crevices. It’s a relaxed kind of diving, generally suitable for newer divers or those looking for an easy few hours underwater, though the currents can pick up occasionally on some of the deeper pinnacles further out. Keep an eye out for dwarf morays tucked into the coral heads – they’re easy to miss if you’re not looking closely.
