LIMAHONG - Subic Bay

The Limahong, a former motor vessel, sits upright at a shallow 11 meters, making it one of Subic's most accessible wrecks. We love it because it's a perfect spot for divers looking to explore a wreck without the deeper commitment. You'll find the deck is a playground of small openings and swim-throughs, just big enough for one diver at a time. Sunlight filters down, illuminating schools of fusiliers that swirl around the mast, and we often spot lionfish tucked into shadowy corners. The ship's bow, our favourite section, has become a home for a resident school of batfish, always curious and unafraid. We'd suggest going in the morning; the visibility tends to be better before the boat traffic picks up. For photographers, the ambient light at this depth creates some stunning wide-angle opportunities. It’s a genuinely engaging dive that suits newer wreck divers and those looking for a relaxed second dive.
