VEFIL - Subic Bay

The VEFIL, a fishing vessel, rests upright at 23 meters on the sandy floor of Subic Bay. It’s a solid wreck, not overly large, but with plenty of nooks and crannies to poke around in. You'll find batfish often schooling around the mast, and the holds have become home to a good number of lionfish and various nudibranchs on the deck plating. The superstructure is accessible, allowing for some decent penetration if you’re comfortable with overhead environments. It's a great second dive of the day for divers looking to explore a wreck without strong currents, and a good spot for newer wreck divers to get a feel for things.
