MOUSTAFA I - Paphos & Coral Bay

The Moustafa I, a carrier vessel that went down in 1994, sits upright at 35 metres. It's a proper dive for wreck enthusiasts, feeling like a substantial chunk of history dropped onto the seabed. We love the swim-throughs, especially the engine room, which is still surprisingly intact, offering a glimpse into its final moments. Down here, the silence is profound, broken only by your own bubbles, and the light filtering down through the Mediterranean blue creates long shadows off the superstructure. Look for the resident groupers lurking in the cargo holds and the occasional barracuda patrolling above the deck. The currents can pick up a bit, so we’d suggest timing your dive for slack tide to really savour the penetration opportunities and get a good look at the propeller. This wreck is best suited for experienced divers comfortable with deeper profiles and overhead environments.
