RAMO - Lofoten Islands

The RAMO offers a fascinating look at history, even if it's not the most colourful dive in Lofoten. This steamship, sunk by a mine in 1946, lies just off the quay at Henningsvaer, an easy 10-meter maximum depth that makes it accessible for most divers. You’ll find the wreck broken, but its size, nearly 90 metres long, gives you plenty to explore. We’ve seen cod and pollack making homes in the twisted metal, and the occasional wolf fish lurking in the deeper sections. It’s a good choice for newer wreck divers or anyone looking for a relaxed afternoon exploring a piece of Norway’s wartime past.
