TANJA - Lofoten Islands

The Tanja wreck is a solid dive for those keen on some history in colder waters. She’s a carrier vessel, 49.6m long, sitting upright at 53m, so definitely one for experienced divers comfortable with deeper profiles. We found her superstructure still largely intact, a nice contrast against the deep blue, and it's always interesting to imagine her working life before she went down in 2001. Look closely for the wolfish that often hide in the darker recesses and the colourful anemones clinging to the metal, adding a splash of life to the industrial silhouette. It’s a quiet, contemplative dive, a real sense of a moment frozen in time.
