THORNE - Lofoten Islands

The Thorne wreck in Lofoten is a solid dive, especially if you’re into a bit of history beneath the waves. This steamship sits upright at 27 metres, her structure still remarkably intact, offering some great penetration opportunities for those with the right training. We’ve found the bow section particularly photogenic, draped in anemones and home to some rather territorial wolffish. It’s not a massive wreck, but there’s enough here to keep you engaged for a good 40 minutes, poking around the holds and engine room. Expect a decent chill, but the clear Norwegian water often makes for superb visibility.
