Divecenter Ulla und Paul - Costa Brava

When we talk about Costa Brava, we’re usually thinking about the Medes Islands, but the Divecenter Ulla und Paul site offers a surprisingly intimate dive right from the shore. It’s got a real home-reef feel to it, perfect for an easy afternoon dip or a gentle night dive. We love that you can just gear up and walk in. What you get here is classic Mediterranean macro life. Keep your eyes peeled for those feisty Mediterranean Tooth-footed Snapping Shrimp – you’ll hear their clicks before you see them darting into cracks. We’ve spent solid chunks of dives just watching the Wrinkled Swimming Crabs scuttle across the rocks. Look closely and you’ll find Cardinal Fish hiding out, and if you’re lucky, a curious Spotted Dragonet posing for a photo. The Morays here are pretty chilled, often peeking out from their holes. It’s not about big pelagics; it’s about the smaller, often overlooked creatures that make the Med so special. Definitely worth a few dives, especially if you appreciate the little things.
