DOS AMIGOS - Costa Brava

Dos Amigos isn't just another wreck; it's a mood. We love this site for its ghostly elegance, a fishing boat split in two at 25 metres. The twin halves lie facing each other, creating a dramatic corridor of broken hull and rusted metal that you can fin between. It’s got this sombre, almost reverent feel, especially on an overcast day when the light filters down in diffuse shafts. You'll see the metal ribs draped in gorgonians, their purple and orange fronds swaying with the gentle surge. There are often conger eels peering from dark crevices, and we’ve spotted plenty of scorpionfish tucked into the nooks, so keep a keen eye out. Our favourite part? The way schools of damselfish flit in and out of the broken decking, almost like they’re guarding the wreck. This site is perfect for photographers looking for something with a bit more character than your average sunk vessel, or anyone who appreciates a wreck with a story. It’s not a deep dive, but the atmosphere makes it feel significant.
