GLORIA M RUCOMA OR GLORIA M DE RICOMA - Costa Brava

The *Gloria M de Ricoma* is one of those Mediterranean wrecks we keep coming back to. She’s not deep, just sitting upright at 21 metres, which makes for some generous bottom time. Sunk back in ’69, she’s really become part of the reef. We love swimming through the holds, which are surprisingly open and make for easy penetration, even for newer wreck divers. Look for the resident conger eels tucked into shadowy corners and clouds of damselfish swarming above the decks. Our favourite detail has to be the intact steering mechanism – you can almost picture the captain. Visibility here can vary, but on a good day, you’ll get 15-20 metres, really letting you appreciate her size and how beautifully she’s settled into the seabed. She’s a fantastic dive if you’re looking for a relaxed wreck exploration that still feels like a proper adventure.
