HAVBOEN - North Sea Coast

Havboen is one of our favourite North Sea wrecks, a fishing vessel that met its end many years ago, and now sits upright at a very manageable 15 metres. There's a real eeriness to dropping onto her, especially when the visibility is on the murkier side, the kind of dive where you feel the cold before you see the wreck. We love how she’s become a home for so much life; the gantry and mast are often thick with small blennies, and you'll spot crabs scuttling over the deck plates. It’s perfect for divers who appreciate the history, the sense of discovery, and don’t mind a bit of a low-viz adventure. Look closely into the holds, the light can play tricks, revealing schools of juvenile cod. We'd suggest going on a slack tide, if possible, it just makes nosing around the superstructure that much more enjoyable. It's a great wreck for working on your navigation skills, too, especially in the ambient low light.
