HINRICH - North Sea Coast

The Hinrich is a proper North Sea wreck dive, sitting upright in a modest 8m. You can just about see the top of her wheelhouse from the surface on a good day, but it’s down below where the real character shows. We love how intact she is for a wreck of her age, making for some easy penetration if you’re comfortable in overhead environments. It’s a fantastic site for those who appreciate history as much as marine life. You’ll find cod sheltering in the deeper holds, often sharing space with huge edible crabs, scuttling across the deck. Keep an eye out for flatfish camouflaged against the sand, especially around the bow. Visibility here can swing wildly, so we always check local reports – aim for an incoming tide and slack water for the best chance of a clear run. If the viz is good, it’s an ideal spot for extended bottom times and photography.
