KABELJAU - North Sea Coast

Kabeljau is one of those wrecks that really sticks with you. She's a trawler, sitting upright on the seabed at 21 metres, and we love how intact she feels despite the years down there. You can still make out the wheelhouse, the mast, and even her propeller. The wreck is draped in plumose anemones, their white tentacles swaying gently in the current, and the hull is a mosaic of dead man's fingers. Ling often peer out from shadowy crevices, and we’ve seen some seriously large cod cruising the decks. It’s a proper expedition dive, and while not overly challenging, we'd suggest divers are comfortable with colder water and perhaps a bit of current before dropping in. Our favourite part? Peering into the open holds – it’s like looking into a different world down there. We always find ourselves wondering what her last journey was like.
